Our track-record of working with partners is second to none.
We have a strong delivery record of creating investable cases for renewable energy opportunities. We specialise in providing bankable financing conditions that open up clear project pathways.
Community
The success of our projects hinges on fostering strong connections with our local communities and our commitment to giving back to the community members. As advocates for social responsibility and active members of the community, we prioritize building trustworthy 'mateships', providing support, and leaving a lasting positive impact as a testament to our values.
Bara Energy recognises the Traditional Custodians' continuing connection to the land, waters and culture.
Bara Energy pays its respects to elders past, present and future and extend that respect to all First Nations people.
News & Events
What technology does Bara Energy use to build its solar farm? Bara Energy uses similar technology to that used in residential solar photovoltaic installations. Bara Energy uses premium quality solar panels and other technologies provided by leading manufacturers. Rows of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels will be installed on a single axis tracking system that follows the path of the sun, while sometimes also allowing adequate space for sheep to continue grazing on the land in-between and underneath the panels, depending on the conditions of the farm.
How does solar generation work? When photon of light shine on a solar panel they knock electrons free on an electrical circuit and product electricity. Inverters regulate the accumulation of electricity from a selection of solar panels and at the substation the electricity is distributed to the grid. The angle at which the light hits the panel relates to the amount of energy that can be harvested from it, which is why tracking systems help to optimise solar generation.
What is the life cycle of a solar farm? A typical bara Energy solar farm will operate for between 25 and 30 years. It starts with Phase 1 Development, then Phase 2 Construction, ultimately Phase 3 Operations or followed by a further Phase 4 Decommission or Exit.
Do solar farms result in a decrease in electricity prices? Solar energy forms just one part of the Australian Energy Market Operators (AEMO) move towards renewable energy. Solar farms add to the supply side of the electricity supply-demand equation, which puts downward pressure on all electricity bills.
